Lydia Mackenzie

Lydia’s passion for dance began from the age of 5, learning ballet and other styles from her local dance school and as an associate with The Royal Ballet School. After accepting her place at Central School of Ballet in London in 2012, Lydia had the opportunity of performing in a national UK tour with Ballet Central performing works by Sharon Watson, Christopher Bruce and Christopher Hampson, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Professional Dance and Performance in 2015. Studying at Central also gave Lydia the opportunity to focus more on Pilates and HIIT training which has improved her performance and bodily awareness throughout her career, giving her a new passion for fitness. Lydia still performs professionally as a dancer, choreographer and teacher and has worked on many projects for theatre, TV and film.

She is very excited to be part of the PBB family and wishes to incorporate her knowledge and passion for dance into her classes. Her ‘Ballet Essentials’ and ‘Flow’ classes are aimed to give your muscles length, strength and an understanding of ballet technique, helping you to move with grace and improve your posture.
