Maria was working as a trained lawyer in Venezuela, and quickly became more than aware of the pressures and challenges of working in a busy corporate environment while having to juggle health and personal life. She decided to teach fitness to relieve her own stress, before moving to London and completing her STOTT Pilates training.
What got you interested in fitness in the first place?
My fitness career started as a hobby teaching spinning in Venezuela, my home country, while I was at university studying Law, giving to me the possibility to stay fit, healthy and releasing all the stress from many hours of studying. While I worked as a lawyer I kept teaching spinning being more than aware of the pressures of working in a busy firm with little time for health and personal life.
Who inspires you?
I am very interested in health, beauty and education, always adding new qualifications, doing courses and workshops, also I love to do classes in different studios so I can be inspired by new exercises and ideas to incorporate in my sessions
Why did you choose to teach at PBB?
PBB is a great company and Paola is a very serious and responsible Manager and owner that treats her staff with a lot of professionalism.
Where did you study fitness and health?
I moved to London where I continued my studies in Immigration Law as well as becoming a Personal Trainer and STOTT Reformer Pilates Instructor (my passion) so I left my job to become a full time trainer. I am a Lawyer from heart & Trainer from soul.
How do you stay motivated?
Health keeps me motivated, I am a very professional, passionate and fiery personal trainer. I am a classically trained STOTT Pilates Instructor, as well as TRX, Kettlebells, Zumba and spinning trainer. This means that my sessions are perfectly suited to clients with postural imbalances, injuries or those that really wants a tough workout.
