Katie is on a mission to make health and fitness enjoyable, a daily habit and help people feel amazing and confident within themselves! Having come from a corporate background, Katie fully understands the demands of a busy desk-bound working week, juggling meetings, socialising, family, friends - all whilst trying to remain healthy.  She believes it's possible to find that balance with the right tools and support - and that's where she can help!

What got you interested in fitness in the first place?

Having grown up with 4 older brothers and surrounded by sport - being active was always the norm for me with gymnastics and tennis being a regular part of my week up until my late teens. After university I worked for a few years in Advertising which I loved but knew desk-life wasn't for me. I knew how frustrating it was to work in an incredibly busy city with long hours and high stress levels and also try and live a healthy lifestyle - so I wanted to share with others how it's possible to do both and find a healthier way of living. So I took a leap of faith, quit my job and studied for my personal training qualifications and haven't looked back since. 

Who inspires you?

My clients. However cheesy it may sound the commitment and effort they put in to make a change is inspiring. Federer - I mean how can you not find him inspiring?! I love tennis so I may be biased but he's the most successful player of all time and his passion and drive year after year is just ridiculous. 

Why did you choose to teach at PBB?

I actually used to be a client of PBB when I was still working in advertising and just fell in love with the concept. Having been a gymnast when I was younger I was enjoying moving with elegance and grace again, plus seeing the benefits to my body. So when the opportunity came up to teach at PBB I knew I had to jump at the chance. 

Where did you study fitness?

I studied level 2 fitness instructor, level 3 personal training and pre/post natal with Premier. And am currently studying level 3 mat Pilates with MK Pilates. 

How do you stay motivated?

Surrounding myself by likeminded positive people is my key to motivation. Going to the gym or class with a friend is way more fun and you get to catch up and workout at the same time which is a double win. And I genuinely enjoy healthy food and cooking which helps.
